I went to Dr. Kearney’s office in 2018 and again in 2020. Initially in 2018, the diagnosis was helpful to validate that a lot of my symptoms were from PTSD. However, in 2020 a neurologist referred me to him for neurological symptoms. During that time, my older brother and nephew had been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.
The 2020 visit was frankly invalidating. He couldn’t believe I had neurodivergent family members despite having a detailed record on my dysfunctional family in 2018. Very communicative, professional and outstanding service I get an assessment every couple years from them and it’s the best assessment service I could ask for.
They are very knowledgeable and thorough.
About a year ago, my therapist referred me here to have a neuropsychological evaluation done specifically to get tested for autism. I communicated this multiple times to them. My understanding of how the appointment worked was that I would first go see a test administrator for about 40 minutes for initial testing, then go have an interview with Dr. Kearney where he would ask me questions and decide what other tests to have me take, then go back with the test administrator for the tests he selected.
