I had never been to a tailor before, so I walked in with six button‑up shirts and two pairs of pants, not really knowing what to expect. Two of the shirts were lower quality and needed extra work, and they were completely honest with me about that from the start.
The rest of the items, four shirts and two pairs of pants, came back fitting like a glove. The craftswomanship was excellent. They were patient with all my questions and never made me feel silly for being new to the process. They also took the time to listen to my concerns about fit when I dropped everything off.

I brought in an older Carhartt jacket on which the zipper had failed. Tom examined it and determined that the travelers were worn. He replaced them on the spot and all is well. The zipper itself was fine. He used authentic, Carhartt branded travelers! I am happy to have my old Carhartt renewed!

I’ve been bringing clothes to Tom’s since I moved to St Paul about 7 years ago. I typically get the waist on pants taken in, but have also gotten formal dresses hemmed and altered for various events. The pricing is fair and the work is always excellent. Highly recommend!
