Yeah it’s nice but why be closed? People have loved ones to visit on certain days and the place wants to be “closed”? The cementary I live by never closed ever even when no one is there or working.

Nice old large cemetery. This is the oldest public cemetery in Minnesota, founded in 1853. There were churches with private cemeteries, but this was the first public cemetery. Since then, over 50,000 dead people have been buried there, and hopefully very few live people.

The entire process of families and casket arriving, lowering casket, positioning the casket to center, the cement lid, and just placing the dirt back on top was very smooth today. Although staffs only talked among themselves and with the funeral owner, they were very respectful and patient with the cultural difference and process. Thank you!

The cemetery itself is also very clean.
