Great store! After Hymies closed, i think this is the best record store in the twin cities. Just sold some record there and got a fair price. Love their jazz and world music sections. I love a record store that feel sprawling with multiple rooms and ripe with things to discover. This store fits that bill. Check it out!
Living in Canada, I randomly found Agharta Records via eBay while searching for the Wipers album Over the Edge. The owner Dylan is someone who clearly values customers as well operating a great business. Although I’ve not been in person, it’s certainly a shop I’ll be visiting if ever in Saint Paul. This place has so many records it will take you all day to get throught it. The staff is super friendly and always welcomes you in. They have a really big selection of new arrival vinyl. Along with rare records, and budget records. It's a great shopping experience. But it is one of the highest priced stores in the metro. On average about $8 to $10 more on most titles from what I see at many of the other stores. Not the new vinyl but used. I do recommend this store you will find something cool. But beware parking is tough at times so be prepared to circle the block several times to find a space. or take the train to Raymond Street Station two blocks away.
