Recently, during my appointment, I observed a new stylist installing locs and having questions as he tended to his client. It made me smile as I watched the owner, Jae, and Dana at various times patiently provide guidance. Sitting under the dryer provided a great view, I watched with pride and amazement how they gently and intentionally poured wisdom into this young stylist and how he humbly listened to learn and improve his technique. I decided 2026 would be the year I get my loc journey started and I started it at LocStarz! Dre was amazing from the first phone call. I appreciated the consult where he tested some things on my hair to see what might work best with the texture. I was able to get an appointment quickly (3 days later) and everything was top notch. Dre’s experience was evident in how he explained things to me, worked quickly, yet, meticulously, and created a fun environment for me to begin this journey! 10/10 would recommend!!!
Yaaay. I found my spot. My hair was a mess but Dre got me together im such short notice. The other stylists at the salon were also good so you can't go wrong with this place. I will be returning.
