Went there for my dad to shop for his dream guitar. Roseville was the only guitar shop in town that had a Martin D-16e- he also wanted to try the D-18 and D-28. Ultimately settled on the D-18 and it’s dreamy. They were willing to lower the price a bit for him for a holiday deal, super nice. Went back a few weeks later and Dr Jim put on a strap button while we waited. Also brought Dad’s Taylor for a neck reset. Taylor was done that same evening and it plays and sounds so much better. Dr Jim was great to talk to as well, no pretentiousness, just communicates in whatever language the client is at as far as guitar knowledge. Mingo is a great employee, he is super fun to talk to and also very helpful. He told me all the information that I need and different solutions to my problem. He’s also very patient, he work with me for two days finding out what is the best option to get the keyboard that I want (he also set up the keyboard just so I can test it out). If you go to the Roseville guitar center, WORK WITH MINGO!!

Got attacked by a raccoon this morning. Full-on ninja ambush. I was sad, confused, and questioning my life choices, so I went to Guitar Center to hit drums instead of therapy.
Met Jack in the drum department. I told him I’d just survived a raccoon assault, and he said, “Sounds like you need to play that out.” I did. Loudly.
Jack was so impressed he immediately asked if I could fill in for his band’s show that night.
Fast-forward: I’m on stage drumming with strangers while a guy in the crowd shouts “PLAY THE RACCOON SONG!”
Best day ever. 5 stars. Would get attacked by a raccoon again.
