The only question I have is “why the heck did I wait so long?” I was a little intimidated by the whole solar project concept but the team at Champion was super helpful and patient with all of our questions before we signed up. I felt like their personal, smaller company approach was exactly what I needed and it was a great fit for us. So glad we picked them for our install! We could not be happier!

As of this writing, 40 Google reviews of Winona Homes provides an average rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Pretty good. Especially for a manufactured home seller.There are a handful of scathing reviews that pull the overall score down, and only 2 (5%) offer middle of the road ratings, i.e. a score of 3. So the majority of folks are quite positive, with the remaining minority consisting of naysayers who are profoundly full of nay.A case can be made that with most businesses the judgements made by reviewers are a consequence of consumer experience with two things; the quality of the end product, and the behavior of the people representing the go-to company. When my spouse and I went looking for a manufactured home we had the benefit of some experience with a similar purchase elsewhere, several years prior. We chose Winona Homes after an eyes wide open history of having been around this block in the not-too-distant past.Wade was our salesperson at Winona Homes and functioned essentially as our general contractor. None of the Google review naysayers mention any person by name. But most of the positive reviews applaud Wade, per se, as do we. He was very knowledgeable, insightful, responsive, truthful, communicative,and followed through with what he said he’d do – everything you’d want from a salesman/general contractor. Wade seemed happy to work with us to meet our specific requirements and timeline. So if you’re looking to purchase a home, consider contacting Wade. We highly recommend him and would choose to work with him again if we were in the market for another manufactured home!Joe, one of Wade’s subcontractors, also deserves equal accolades. Although some of the subcontractors left a great deal to be desired for their shortcomings in communication and responsiveness, work quality, etc., Joe was top tier!Finally, the product itself: MidCountry Homes model 3W1650-P. Winona Homes has limited control over what is provided to them by MidCountry Homes. Please see the 1-star rating (including pictures) by Cris J. specific to MidCountry Homes at Google Maps. To that review we would add that MidCountry would be wise to take more care in the basic manufacturing process. Their lack of attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to take the position that they are better off pushing out more homes at a substandard level, needing weeks of repairs and corrections, than they would be by slowing down and doing a decent job to begin with. As customers the latter would have been our preference. Winona Homes did well in taking up the slack.
