Hands down, this was the best hair appointment I’ve ever had. I never had extensions before, so initially I was unsure how to go about this. After some research, I found Tiffany Twist while searching the broad MN metro area. Her website and background impressed me, so I gave her a call. She responded quickly, I sent some photos, then explained I’m driving two hours for this and am hoping to get it done in one visit. Not a problem. I went to my appointment the next day. On arrival, it was a pleasant surprise to see she does this out of her apartment (a nice one) and has everything on site. I love it when you find someone who genuinely wants you to look and feel your best. It’s hard to quantify that. I was skeptical about having extensions, but my first install lasted over a year. I followed Tiffany’s advice and used the recommended products, but I wouldn’t say I was “easy” on my hair. Part of my concern was always that I had never been a very high maintenance hair kind of person and didn’t want to spend extra time taking care of the extensions. I also enjoy camping, kayaking, swimming and other sports and activities that might be hard on the hair. I was so pleased with the results that I did another install. FINALLY I have the hair I've always wanted!I've had my extensions for almost 8 months. I have my gray roots touched up every 3-4 weeks in a salon and go in for touch ups on my extensions about every 6 weeks. So it is a lot of maintenance in a salon, but it is way less maintenance on a day to day basis.My hair is healthier because the bonds actually protect my own hair while it grows out. In the last 8 months I've switched to sulfate free and silicone free hair products, I reduced the frequency of washing to about twice a week and I brush way more carefully.
