TWISTED THREAD FABRIC CLEANING AND RESTORATION

I had just moved to Minneapolis right before I got married. After my wedding, I needed to get my wedding dress cleaned and was referred to a different business (not Twisted Thread!) by a friend's sister. This other cleaner completely ruined my custom made wedding dress and I had no idea what to do not being from here. I live close to Evermore and called to see if they could take a look at my dress and salvage what they could. The person I met with recommended taking it across the street the next day to Twisted Thread. She said the owner there was the only person she trusted and that she had any faith in possibly bringing back my silk crepe dress. I took it in to Twisted Thread the very next day and met the owner, Duane. He honestly couldn't believe the condition my dress was in compared to the photos of how it originally looked. He told me he couldn't guarantee that he could get it back to 100% of what it was, but he would put everything he had into it to try to get it back to as close as that as possible. His sincerity and transparency is what I absolutely appreciated and was exactly what I needed based on my experience with the first cleaner. Duane and I communicated over email and phone over the next few months and since I live nearby, he had no issues with me stopping in to see the progress of my dress. No matter how busy he was, he always made time for me and made me feel as if I was his only customer. Every time I stopped in, I could see its character and shape coming back little by little. I really didn't want to get my hopes up as I didn't think it would be possible to even get my dress back to 50%. Duane really took his time and ordered all the right chemicals and materials needed to bring my dress back to life. He would check-in with me to make sure that I felt like my dress was going in the right direction and to see what concerns I had. Before I knew it, my dress looked a million times better than it did and it was pretty close to how I envisioned it to look after getting it cleaned the first time. I honestly could never thank him enough for all of the time and effort he put into my dress. I was starting to lose faith and regretting my move to Minneapolis, but Duane was able to restore that and show me what true Minnesotan service looked like. I am so appreciative of everything he did for me. Duane is extremely professional, kind, thoughtful, honest, and amazing at what he does. I honestly could not recommend a better service in general, but especially for cleaning and restoration.
