At 48 years old I had the best papsmear of my life at Planned Parenthood. I had no idea that it could be such a different experience. I was asked for my consent every step of the way - and the practitioner communicated every step of the way (i.e. is it okay if I touch you here, you will feel xyz, etc.)
I was given options on how I wanted to lay for the exam, and asked if I wanted to have the speculum warmed - yes, please - and thank you! And it didn't hurt - I was told it should never hurt. What?! Maibee gave me exceptional customer service that really soothe my anxiety about the whole situation. I’m definitely glad that they have somebody there that is compassionate enough to go above and beyond thank you so much.
Their staff are very nice and helpful, but their system to get checked in before an appointment is horrible. I got there 10 minutes early and waited a whole hour and no one called for me. I had to go to the front desk and ask what happened. They told me their system didn't even register that i checked, which i did 4 times, and they were so sorry and rescheduled me. Luckily for 15 minutes later. This was very frustrating and this should be changed asap.
