Quite simply, Hirshfield's (especially the Uptown store) makes me a better painter. I absolutely love the products they make and sell, but more importantly, the folks behind the counter know everything there is to know about the materials and supplies they carry. Since my early days, I've always felt confident bringing material questions to whoever is working. A special thanks to Jeff and Ashley, who've welcomed me back into the trade with open arms and wide smiles. I haven't forgotten about Cole in Uptown, Mike in Ramsey, and Devon and Jeff in Maplewood! I went into Hirshfield's in Uptown today with an odd problem related to painting risers. They were incredibly helpful and generous with their time. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
