About Ensemble Music
Based on the reviews, Ensemble Music offers Music Together classes for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them. These classes are described as fun, fabulous, uplifting, and magical. Families gather to sing, dance, and play in a joyful, community-focused setting. The classes are so fun, educational, age appropriate, and welcoming. Ensemble Music also provides Suzuki piano lessons using a supportive, step-by-step approach. The lessons are specifically tailored for different learners. There is a positive and nurturing environment surrounding a technique-focused structure. Students understand, enjoy, and learn so much. The focus is not just on learning pieces, but also incorporates playing for fun by returning to past repertoire pieces and improvising with jam sessions. Mixing group lessons with private instruction creates a supportive environment that helps build confidence. The teachers do a great job of modifying their approach to match kids' personalities and learning styles. This creates a nice balance of scaffolding skills, fun activities, and helping students work through new pieces. The focus is on making music together with others, teaching the language of music that will serve them their whole lives. Music therapy is also available.
I have been bringing my grandson since he was 9 months old. He enjoys it and I appreciate the thoughtful direction of the teachers. They understand young children and their developmental stages.
We love Ensemble Music and Music Together! My son and I are on our 8th session of Music Together at Ensemble Music, and my daughter is on her 3rd. Leah is our regular teacher, and she’s awesome. She really engages all the kids and encourages the adults to get into it. I also really appreciate her subtle methods of crowd control, like changing up the song order to match the kids’ energy. We’ve also taken a summer session with Jessica and make-up classes with Julia and Cathy, and they were all great teachers too! My kids love the music and the older one asks for songs outside of class, or sings them himself. He’s learned respect for instruments and being good at sharing. He also loves the little slide in the outer room.
My son (1st child) was able to play with other kids, practice walking, practice talking... and of course plenty of singing and dancing. I love it.
