About Columbia Golf Club
Columbia Golf Club is a highly regarded municipal golf course located in Northeast. It features a hilly layout that provides good exercise, with many doglegs that can make it challenging to spot where the ball lands. As of 2022, Columbia is a par 70 course with six par 3s, and it is known for having the best putting greens in the city, described as firm, fast, and in excellent condition. Golfers can expect a tough challenge, especially on the notoriously difficult par 4 at hole 16. The course is well-maintained, and the fairways and greens are beautifully kept, showcasing the expertise of the groundskeeper. Golfers appreciate the fun layout and the chances to score if they can keep their ball in play. Additionally, Columbia provides great cross-country skiing trails and sledding hills in winter, although the clubhouse may be closed at times, limiting access to refreshments. Overall, Columbia Golf Club remains a favorite destination for golfers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, with many considering it the best course among Minneapolis city courses.
Very well maintained, especially for a city course! The holes are fun and challenging and I’m a BIG FAN of multiple par 3’s on the front and back. The course is very walkable minus a few long treks (there are some good short cuts). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Play does get a little slow especially on league nights, but it’s rare you are waiting more than a few minutes. We LOVE Columbia 🤗
I hadn't played Columbia for a few years. Overall, the course was in very good shape. Greens were great. There are a few holes on the back 9 that were pretty wet with some minor fairway repair, but nothing dramatic. A good value close to the city.
Favorite city course. Challenging and always good condition. Decent range. I’ve heard slightly overpriced outside of PCC. Accommodating with tee times etc. Good spot. Can be a tough walk but that’s part of the challenge.
