Carole Bruns Couture is a hidden gem shop for wedding dress alterations and tailoring. Customers describe their experience as amazing from start to finish, with exceptional talent and care put into every dress and garment. Ruth and Carole are consistently kind, welcoming, calm, gentle, and knowledgeable. Ruth has an advanced sewing and reconstruction skill set, able to execute complex alterations like letting out and restructuring boning to wear a corset underneath, fixing vintage Chantilly lace hems, and working with horsehair hems. Other tailors said they could not make certain changes, but Carole made it all look easy, including raising a waist, taking in a dress, redoing an accent feature on the back, and adding a complex bustle. Despite complex work, it was all reasonably priced and within budget. Customers felt like a princess, comfortable, and confident on their wedding day because of the work and care. Another visit for a small alteration was done on the spot in less than 5 minutes, with friendly and efficient service. They even tried not to charge. The shop came to the rescue and fixed a wedding dress on short notice. Customers highly recommend this place for any tailoring needs, big or small, and want to go back for more.

My experience with Carole Bruns Couture was amazing from start to finish! After a horrible experience with another alterations shop, I was referred to Carole Bruns Couture with only 6 weeks before my wedding and met Ruth and Carole. Ruth is absolutely WONDERFUL – she was so calm and gentle each time my mom and I met with her, and has an advanced sewing and reconstruction skillset. Walked in without an appointment and they were so friendly and efficient! I had small alteration, they did it on the spot in less than 5 minutes and even tried not to charge me, although I opted to pay anyway for the great service. Perfect experience, it literally made me want to get more of my clothes tailored so I can go back there
