Had our front steps redone. They look AMAZING. The time and precision that was taken, I would have never thought of. The boys did such a great job and in one day. They were very polite, neat and hardworking.

1. Didn’t pull a permit (read that again: they did not pull a permit) for regrading or drainage for the major landscaping project they’re doing (called the City, confirmed no permit was pulled. A stop work order was posted by their building inspector for that, but they are still working today on Sunday with heavy equipment, for items that allegedly do not require a permit and approved drainage plans).
This major landscaping project they are doing is uphill from protected wetlands, from a farm, and other properties including ours. This is incredibly irresponsible.
2. Used our property’s yard (they are working on the home next to, and up the street from a property we own) as a construction staging site, blocking one of our driveways and blocking a fire hydrant with a dump truck and another large commercial construction truck for well over 8 hours.
They also staged another large trailer (again: at our property for some reason, even though their actual jobsite is almost a block or half-block away?), and threw their equipment and other things like cords in the grass of our property’s yard, and partly parking on grass, off the pavement.
3. Left oil stains, dirt, pavement scratches and dents, and tire marks up the entire block, far from their actual jobsite. The City just repaved this only a few years ago. North Metro Companies only attempted to clean it with a street cleaner the next day, likely because of my complaints.
4. Using heavy equipment directly next to and over the heads of their workers, some of whom did not have proper head protection/PPE for, and other unsafe working conditions. I hope their project manager shapes up, because OSHA standards protect lives.
I left a message for their project manager and I didn’t even get a courtesy call back.
Had to call the City and get their Building Inspector and Public Works departments involved to get this taken care of.
Total s*** show.

North Metro did a fantastic landscaping job for us! Everybody was really great to work with, from the quoting process to giving us ideas to getting the job done professionally and efficiently. Many thanks to Jackie, Tara, Will and the crew for their work. We've been enjoying our new patio and landscape so much this season

What a complete joke of a company!! Negligence from a driver hauling rock on county road 81 damage my windshield in 3 spots back in July.. spoke with Kevin sent him pics and job site driver was hauling to. said he take care of it. Week later didn’t hear back, called again.. finally some windshield company called said they would not drive out to my location. Not sure why I need to shuffle my life and job around to get something you guys wrecked fixed.. ended up fixing myself spoke with kevin again let him know I would be sending invoice out. By the look of the reviews and unsatisfactory customers. This negligence goes hand and hand on the type of company Kevin runs!!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We built with Lennar and have had nothing but troubles. North Metro came out, laid dried sod, one roll of dirt, and gaps that feet could fall through if walking in the yard. In addition, they randomly put boulders throughout our yard that wasn’t approved and now we’re having to figure out how the grass will be mowed with the obstacles. Since Lennar has ZERO cares of craftsmanship and satisfaction, I went straight to call Jackie from this company directly to express my concerns. Nobody would be ok with spending over a half million on their home to have a yard like what was installed. She was EXTREMELY rude, said she’s on the same page with the builder and said she was being “nice” to even return my phone call. I would NEVER recommend this company and I hope there are some ramifications for how disrespectfully and unprofessional Jackie was!

Sod install was fast but messy, with a lot of gaps and uneven seams with one roll over the other, not fitted together correctly.
They also planted our trees in solid clay without removing the burlap sack and metal wire basket around the roots! They also waved me off and wouldn't talk to me when I addressed it. Well, no wonder so many people in this development complain about trees dying, these trees are doomed from day one. I went out the next day and cut the burlap and wire out myself.

2+ years in a new Lennar community. They already replaced one bad tree for both my neighbor and I. I called because tree #2 is dead/sick, they refused to replace per policy. I asked what I am supposed to do with another dead tree, why they both died in under a year and the response was they plant 5000 trees per year with low failure rate. I asked why they couldn’t step up as it’s plainly a second bad tree and was strangely lectured about over/under watering, and that if they replaced my tree they’d have to do that for all 5000 other customers.
I asked if they couldn’t replace it, could they at least tell me what was wrong? Is it the tree, is it the soil? Where do I go from here? she said I could call the U (Univ of Minnesota I assume? Like the front desk? Do they have a customer service line? Call Goldy Gopher?Come on!?!) and they could do soil testing.
Maybe someone at the company who reads google reviews cares more about customer service than their front desk. Maybe a google user can see this pic and be helpful as to what’s going on or what I should do from here.

Currently this was the only place where I could find sod. Lowe's, Home Depot, and Menard's claimed they didn't know when or if they would get any. On top of that this was $2 a roll cheaper than any other place i looked up. Self serve so bring your checkbook.
