“I appreciate, respect, and like my doctor, Doctor Simon Fenton.

Doctor Fenton continues to be the most proficient, professional, caring, personable, and competent Physician or any type that I have engaged in the last 60+ years.

I began seeing Doctor Fenton after he quickly and correctly diagnosed a serious problem that my wife had when others simply ignored her symptoms.

My then current PCP left the area, so I endeavored to become his patient.

I continue to use Allina because of my consistently positive experiences with him for years.

I especially appreciate that he is analytical, and strives to get to the bottom of things rather than going through the motions as other physicians used to do.

Over that last 30+ years, I have noted that the professional and support staffs at various United and Allina facilities have improved greatly. (From indifferent robots to engaged, professional, and caring healthcare partners.)
I love my doctor, but find some procedural aspects of Allina and the United Hospital organization are less and less effective. My personal experiences note that year by year, the Doctors and Assistants work hard to keep me well, but have less time to address real issues due to new policies and practices instituted by "the home office". I get 20 minutes of my PCP's time, which he spends mostly "checking boxes" in order to stay off the clinic's "naughty list".

FORTUNATELY, Doctor Fenton is a great multitasker and provides excellent care.

He and his support staff are forced go through unnecessary steps (like sending in extra prescriptions (to fill when requested) to avoid calls from a pharmacist, which affects his review - even though it's the dysfunctional pharmacy. United and Allina need to work with and pharmacies or their professional organizations to fix this structural problem

At reception, I get forms asking if I have a good home life and a place to stay, but never ask how my actual health is, or what might might be troubling me.

Both organizations need to get back to basics, rather than marketing metaphorical "Underwater Birthing Centers" and such. They should let their professionals practice, and quit micromanaging them. Also no more remodeling while milking a 30 year old imaging machine.

Thank You!“

“The staff at front are always nice and Attentive. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Jennifer Svednsen. She goes about and beyond with her patients. She truly listens and is never pushy. She is a wonderful Doctor with lots of knowledge. Always ran a test or referred me to a specialist if I had any concern with my son. She is one of a kind!!“
