Caring dr’s, friendly staff, and dr’s take time to listen and educate during exams. Plus they have excellent treatment plans for dry eye, etc.
Have to give a shout out to Dr. Andrew Mattson. The last week or so I was seeing random flashes of light and had a lot more “floaters” in my eyes than normal. Didn’t think much about it. But today seemed worse so I of course googled the symptoms and the first thing that came up was “Retinal Detachment or tear” and to go to the emergency room right away. I was at work so I couldn’t just leave right then. I called My mom who had had the same thing happen to her a few years ago. So of course being my mother she told me the same thing google told me and I don’t always listen to google but I do always listen to Momma! Anyway, I called Lakeville Family Eye Care and they were closed but said if it was an emergency to call Dr. Mattsons personal number. I’m a people pleaser so I really didn’t want to disturb his night, but I called anyway and he drove back to work and I met him there and he did all the tests and scans—on his night off! It turns out I don’t have a retinal tear or detachment but a “Vitreous Detachment” and he explained exactly what that was (he is very smart) so luckily even though I understood about 1% of what he said he gave me a print out of everything. Anyway, I believe in giving honor to where honor is due and I was absolutely blown away by the service here. 10/10 would recommend. 🙌🏻
