Went to check out the gym, was thinking about getting a membership. Treated very poorly by manager (?) who insisted my guest pass wasn’t valid (it was) and asked that I leave and only return after having a cell phone conversation with someone literally sitting 10 feet away.

LA Fitness on Hopkins Crossroad is a fantastic facility, especially after the major renovations they did a few years ago. Over the last couple of years, I've noticed a significant improvement in the cleanliness of the equipment and the men's locker room, which is much appreciated.
My only minor complaint is that the sauna doesn't always smell the best, but that aside, it's a great gym. The variety of equipment and classes available makes it easy to keep workouts interesting and effective.
Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a well-maintained and comprehensive fitness center.

Excellent staff— you need to open 6 am on weekends-/ that is a consensus complaint— why do you open at 8 am ??

Due to having had moved, I went in to cancel my personal training membership. In my contract it says that if I move somewhere that is over 25 miles from any location that my membership can then be canceled. When I went in, Andrew, told me that was not true and that only active military could cancel their memberships. I was almost conned into paying $650 to cancel my personal training. He didn't even bother to look at my contract, even after I asked him to look at my contract to make sure. I was utterly confused and felt like an idiot when he kept telling me I was wrong. I also asked for a copy of my contract which he did not supply. I ended up going to another location in Edina, who were very helpful, they did look at my contract and explained that each state has their owns rules/laws therefore my contract (from California) did indeed have the moving-away claus.

Everything at the gym is perfect except one young guy who works usually night time, He keeps pushing people to get out before the actual time with attitude

Update: ⭐ 3/5 – Resolved in the End, But the Process Needs Improvement
I recently went through a frustrating experience trying to cancel my personal training membership. Despite multiple in-person visits and a phone call, I was still charged after being told my account was inactive.
Thankfully, after I followed up by email, the team responded promptly, acknowledged the mistake, refunded the charge, and confirmed my cancellation.
I'm grateful the issue was resolved, but I encourage LA Fitness to improve their cancellation process and internal communication to prevent similar issues for others. If you're canceling, make sure to get everything in writing and follow up if needed.
Indoor environment was dirty, second floor was very hot, swimming pool was always closed, treadmill had many problems, staff service was very poor.

I waited 6 months to make sure my rating isn’t unfair. Everything is always broken here. The pool and hot tub have been largely out of order for the last 6 months. First they said it would reopen late February. Then March. That became “mid-April,” then “sometime in May” then “I don’t know dude it’s pretty broken.” The pool recently reopened (not the hot tub though), only to close again. I drive here to work out, only to constantly find it’s closed. The showers are filthy, and some have no water pressure. Some of the machines are broken and no one is fixing them. Overall extremely disappointed. It constantly feels like the place is trying to stay alive and not go out of business. I would recommend to the owners to either commit and turn this around or just close. Don’t do a half job…
