“Justine was amazing with our dog. Nala absolutely adored working with her!
We rescued our girl Nala at 11 months old with very little issues we could recognize. Some fear of men but overall a very eager, lovable pup. We didn’t have any worries brining our new baby home a year later. She ended up being highly reactive and excited toward the baby. Having very basic dog training abilities ourselves and dealing with a newborn mostly single handed, we worried we would have to rehome her, heartbroken. Luckily we found Justine and she assessed Nala, confident she would overcome this if given some routine, boundaries and obedience.
We boarded Nala with her for about 4 weeks (mom brain- I think 4!) and Justine was so graceful in training both puppy and puppy parents, while educating through the whole process!
Nala no longer reacts to baby- sleeps through the crying even, gives space when asked and brings herself to her safe space if baby starts crawling too close by when she’s not having it!
We now have our lives back, and everyone’s happy under one roof. -On top of new skills in walking, recall and manners as I like to call them.
(Baby cuddles not encouraged just included cause I would’ve never thought she could sleep with him anywhere near her if you asked me before Justine worked with her!)”
