Came and did henna tattoos for my daughters 12th b-day party last weekend.. Loved her!! She was very nice, patient and talented. Would definitely use her again for a funtion. I highly recommend her.
I've always marveled at the beauty of henna tattoos. When I was in grade school I received the Scholastic magazines. You know what I'm talking about. They mostly offered books and learning tools, but every once in a while they would have purely fun items. One of them was a do-it-yourself henna kit. Naturally, a deal like that was too good to be true. The dye didn't stay and it looked cheap. I was crushed. It's been over a decade and I'm still scarred from the experience. All I wanted was the beautiful burnt sienna dye to fall elegantly across my arms, or legs, or hands, or back - the options were endless. So with the coaxing of my friends, I coughed up the $25 and got a decent-sized ethnic inspired tat across the length of my forearm. It was gorgeous. I couldn't be happier. It reminded me of Bulgaria and had me contemplating if I should get the real deal. Depending on the placement and how well you take care of it, the temporary tribal lasts anywhere from days to weeks. I had mine for about two weeks. It looked fresh and clean for the first and started to fade during the second. I could have easily kept it around for three weeks, but I was a little lazy.
You cannot help but notice Deena's booth at fairs and shows.......a great harem-like feel with real artists at work inside. Hundreds of designs are there for your browsing, but don't be afraid to give them an idea, and then allow for creative license. Once the design is done, there are high powered fans to help dry the paste all the way. Finally, a layer of mod podge is placed over the dry design to seal it on for maximum staying power. I LOVE when people go the extra mile! Thanks to Deena and Bryce, I have two beautifully decorated hands that I will enjoy for a good long while. There is a calendar on the business' web site listing out where they will be and when. They also do house calls! Love that! Thanks, Sole Shine!
