I was very nervous about doing a breast ultrasound for the first time. I didn't tell anyone about my anxiety, and it turns out I didn't need to because all the staff I interacted with at M Health Fairview Breast Center - Edina were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional.
Tatiana checked me in at the front desk, and her kind attitude and clear explanation of what to expect during my appointment really helped set up a positive tone for the rest of my experience. My ultrasound was performed by Tara, who was extremely patient and detailed in her explanation of the ultrasound process and what potential results I might receive. She took extra time and care to answer all of my questions, make sure I was comfortable, and just had great bedside manner. I am definitely going to request her again for my follow-up appointment. At the end of my ultrasound, I also briefly met with Dr. Donald, who discussed my ultrasound results in a friendly and professional manner. Like Tara, he also provided lots of great information regarding my results that greatly reduced my anxiety.
I also can't stress enough how much I appreciated that they provided cloth hospital gowns, sheets, and real towels for my appointment. Some other clinics I've been to have switched to thin, disposable paper gowns and sheets for everything, which are extremely uncomfortable, hard to move around in, and overall, very exposing to wear as a patient. Other details that I really enjoyed included the exam room being roomy and clean, the ultrasound gel being pre-heated for my comfort, and the hospital gown being roomy and generally size inclusive.
I would highly recommend this center and all the staff I met today to anyone needing breast imaging, especially if this is your first time or you are nervous about the process.

I have been going to this location for years and have always had extremely kind and considerate care. Recently, I needed a biopsy and my nurse Tosha went above and beyond in every way to make the procedure comfortable. I am so grateful to her and her coworkers.

For a task not every woman wants to do, they make it smooth & easy
I was able to make a same week appointment. When I found myself in the area a couple hours early, I stopped to see if they could fit me in.
I was told they would try, but I would need to wait a bit. In less than 15 minutes they called my name & in under 15 minutes later I was walking out the door.

I needed to have the last five years of mammograms sent to a new radiologist in Naples, FL. After requesting them once and waiting a week to receive them I called back and spoke with Theresa. She was extremely helpful and kind, understanding that although the first set was probably going to show up, I was anxious so she burned another set and promised me that she was sending them that day. To my shock, they arrived the very next day as she had sent them overnight delivery. Theresa went above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service, but more than that she was kind and thoughtful.

I am so thankful for the excellent care provided by the staff at Fairview Breast Center. Having to get multiple mammograms and a biopsy done is frightening. Kristen and Tasha were so supportive and kind--their support really helped. Dr. Liu was kind and professional as well. Again, very grateful for wonderful providers and fantastic care!!

For 36 years I've had my mamogram at this clinic. No where else. Always a great experience until recently. I couple of changes in insurance and even when asked to pass the new insurance information to Midwest Radiology, the group that actually reads the images, they don't follow through. Twice. You never have any contact with Midwest. They're office is elsewhere. The must have, or should have some system to take care of this. 3 months after the fact, a bill comes. Pay in full. Immediately. This is my only complaint. But it has happened twice now. Too much.

Two stars instead of one because of the ease of scheduling online through MyChart, and how quickly I was seen once I arrived. That's it. M Health Fairview implemented a new cancer screening questionnaire in July 2021, and the radiology tech who performed my exam was irate with me because I hadn't completed it, telling her everything in my medical history in MyChart was up-to-date. ("Do you know how long it's going to take me to find that?" she replied.)It's an in-depth screener about numerous cancers that affect women, and both women in your immediate *and* extended family. It's not something that you can do, on-the-fly, topless in a room the day of. How I was roomed without receiving it by mail, in MyChart, or even at appt check-in, I still don't understand.I spoke with her supervisor about it later, and the she did agree that she should have been clear that a new screener was in place. So make sure that you received it via MyChart, or call and ask for it to be sent to you by paper or electronically, if you haven't had a mammogram since July of 2021 with M Health Fairview.Worse than that negative experience during the mammogram was that if I didn't have my results released automatically through MyChart, I wouldn't have known that I had an irregular result for almost 2 weeks. My exam was on June 13, 2022. The physical letter was postmarked June 28. The initial radiologist didn't even bother to review that I actually went to another M Health Fairview facility (with a radiologist I'd had a wonderful experience with a few years ago, but who's further from home) for a follow-up on June 16.The radiologist I saw for the diagnostic appt was kind enough to skip the COSTLY additional imaging the screening radiologist recommended (it was a 3D mammo to begin with), and have me sent straight to the ultrasound room when I arrived. Terrified for two days I might have cancer, I quickly learned even the ultrasound tech suspected it was nothing when I walked in the room.I was fortunate, I don't have any signs of cancer currently. But though this facility is walking distance from home, I won't go back. And while the facilities that were formerly M Health in the Fairview M Health merger always send patient experience surveys, this facility did not. To the leadership at this facility: companies rarely improve what they don't bother to measure. It simply wasn't an acceptable patient experience for me.
