Ever since I've been coming here I have had nothing but good experiences, I would highly recommend you to bring your family here as well. It is such a beautiful office to walk in to as well as calming. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, helpful and respectful.

DO NOT GO HERE! Dan is the worst dentist I've ever been unfortunate to come across. I feel obligated to share my experience because I do not want anyone else to go through what I did at Woodland Dental.

When I first visited this office, I expected simple, honest dental care. Instead, I was quickly told I “needed” crowns, even though I had never had major issues with those teeth before. There was very little explanation, and I felt pressured into agreeing. I trusted the dentist’s recommendation, but that turned out to be a huge mistake.

The temporary crowns he placed were uncomfortable from the start. I developed increasing pain and swelling, and shortly after, I ended up with an infection so bad I had to be put on antibiotics. I tried to get help from the office, but they canceled my appointments multiple times, leaving me in pain and without answers.

Because of how bad things got, I ended up bouncing between different clinics, trying to get help. Several providers even commented (without me asking) that something looked very wrong with the work that had been done. Eventually, I was referred to an oral surgeon, who told me the damage was severe — and that my tooth couldn't be saved because the work had been done incorrectly. I had to have my tooth extracted because of this.

I went in expecting help, and instead, I left with a missing tooth and months of stress, pain, and expense.

What also concerns me now is that after sharing my experience, multiple people privately warned me that this has happened to others, and that this dentist has a reputation in other places for similar issues.
Emotionally, the experience was awful. I felt dismissed, not listened to, and completely unsupported once things went wrong. The lack of proper communication, canceled appointments, and poor quality of work has left me with long-term consequences — financially, physically, and mentally. They also cancelled on me for a sterilizer issue?

I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major treatment here. I wish someone had warned me before I trusted this place. PS the front desk staff are very unprofessional and cancel CONSTANTLY. Dan is super weird about wanting to put you on anesthesia. Please be very cautious of this facility if you choose to pursue work there.

Despite what I have heard from other people, I have never had a bad experience beside wait time at woodland dental. The reason for the wait time is they only have 1 main dentist and the rest are hygienist or assistance so the dentist has to work on patients one at a time. They accept my Blue Cross Blue Shield state insurance, and approved me for IV sedation due to anxiety. I show up at the time of my appointment and wait 30-45 minutes typically before dental work (worst wait 2 hours), the assistants keep me company and conversate while we wait. I have had probably well over 10k worth of dental work done by Doctor Dan. Dental work I would have not been able to afford to have done elseway. 3 hour appointment for 3 fillings, can't complain because I don't go home with a bill. I recommend you clear your afternoon for your dentist appointment, it's probably gonna take longer than expected.
Front desks staff staff are super friendly!
Appointments do get rescheduled or occasionally due to a variety of circumstances, but again can't complain about free dental care. I have never received a bill from woodland dental. I will definitely go back

I went To Woodland family dental in Duluth Minnesota and unfortunately, had a very awkward and unpleasant appointment with their dentist. Let me say it in the kindest way possible, he was the most unprofessional, Egotistical condescending healthcare worker that I have ever met in my life. He came to work with the worst attitude a person could have and was very disrespectful towards me within the first 10 seconds that he opened his mouth. This dentist wants to act like a teenage boy that just had a girl break up with him by coming in all angry and acting cranky and wants to take it out on the world . I think his mental state needs to be looked into by the dental board. I will NOT ever be going back to this place with the way he talks to people, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone because of his unprofessionalism. Unprofessionalism.. I guess no one taught him adequate growing up. He shouldn’t be embarrassed for himself. Never been treated that way in my life by a healthcare worker and I am one myself.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Doctor Dan has shown me that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be traumatic! He has shown so much compassion, caring, and the desire to help me achieve a GREAT mouth AND smile! His staff are equally amazing and at times are attentive to my needs since I have to do sedation. I walk in the door and the front desk people always know who I am and have checked in already!! This place is ALL AROUND a GREAT place and im truly blessed to be able to go here!!🩷👍👍

Maxes out insurance without completing work, insists on being sedated for minor procedures so he can bill for more. Routinely cancels appointments due to lack of staff. Do not recommend

Woodland family dental is a very clean and professional office. The staff are very kind, comfortable to be around, and knowledgeable with dental skills across the board.

Had an appointment scheduled for my wisdom teeth to be removed and originally it was scheduled at 9:30 then it switched to 10 and now I've been in the waiting area for two hours.
