I truly feel like these people care about my animal over anything and they are so helpful during a stressful time. Dr. Katherine and all the staff are so friendly and always take the time to explain or just sit with patients until they understand

I've been taking my dogs to Park Grove for a couple of years now. We didn't have any issues with them until we started to see Dr. Katherine, But once we started having issues everything went downhill. It took her several hundred dollars and 6 months of tests to determine a fairly basic diagnosis of an ACL tear. Once we finally had a diagnosis, they would only consider the most expensive option suggested by the specialist. The suggested surgery was prohibitively expensive and they wouldn't discuss or consider alternative options for treatment, even though alternative options do exist. We ended up having to go to a different clinic to take care of our dog. **Limiting access to affordable healthcare alternatives like that is morally reprehensible.** Not everyone can afford $6,000, and if there are alternatives we should be able to have a conversation with our vet about them. Low-Income families deserve to take care of their dogs just as much as anyone else. We started buying our prescription medications online because they are a fourth of the price that Park Grove was charging us. We had so many issues with Park Grove faxing the prescription information so that we could have affordable medications filled elsewhere. Every single time we tried to fill our medications elsewhere Park Grove dragged their feet and made us wait weeks for our prescriptions. As far as I'm concerned, Park Grove Pet hospital only cares about how much money they can squeeze out of their clients. Their priority is not the comfort or health of your pets. I have been extremely disappointed, and do not encourage anyone to employ their services. This review doesn't change anything about how they treated me or my dogs, but I hope that they pause to reflect on their policies. Veterinary services should be accessible to everyone. It is their responsibility to ensure that their clients can take care of their pets. As I said, limiting access to affordable healthcare is a bad policy.

The receptionist/scheduler was happy! I TRUST THEM like no other veterinary service that I have been to in my history of having pets since 1998, through 6 different towns in 3 different states They did not sound stressed or overwhelmed. They sounded genuinely glad to be meeting a new animal client. They were concerned as to whether or not I would need immediate services. I did not. Since I was switching from another practice they said that I should request my information be sent over and give them the vet info so that they could do the same if they did not receive it (which was sadly a common occurrence but that THEY would do the follow up as long as they could). Upon arrival at the clinic, I called the number provided on the window. A technician helped me with all my paperwork because the front desk was tied up. But the technician sounded like they were smiling. They asked appropriate questions and understood my answers to my questions. We sat in the car instead of in the office. My dog was calm. When we did go in, we went to the back right away. My great big baby doesn't like the floor moving under her so the scale on the way to the exam room was difficult but we could just take the number that stuck the longest. Treats and spray cheese were copious. Everyone wanted this to be a good experience for my girl. She had her physical, and boosters. The Dr. made sure that we humans left with ALL of our questions answered too. Everyone was THE best. They LISTENED, really and truly cared about the animals, the people and the relationship between them. They understood budget needs and health needs...where and how things could be done and when there was simply no other choice. I TRUST THEM!

I have three dogs, one with a chronic medical condition, and Park Grove has been nothing short of incredible with all of them. My husband and I have taken our dogs here for nine years and wouldn't take them anywhere else. Everyone here - from the veterinarians and vet techs to the front desk staff - is so kind and friendly. We have seen each of the veterinarians many times and don't even have a preference in who our dogs see because they are ALL fantastic. Each of them goes above and beyond. They are excellent communicators, are upfront about costs, and most importantly, it is obvious that they genuinely care about each of the animals (and owners!) that come into their practice. I can't recommend them enough!

The staff at PGPH have been wonderful. They are friendly, take their time, and explain everything throughly. Best vet atmosphere I've ever experienced.

Curbside check-in and they forgot about me - I waited in the car for 20 minutes. I don't do well with people wasting my time. Needless to say, I left after calling them to let them know they forgot about me.

I have to give the biggest shoutout to DR. SONJA WIERSMA! She was able to figure out that my 12 year old Black Lab has Atypical Addison’s Disease. I appreciate her care and support not just to my boy Bryce but also to me so that I can give him the best care. She is hands down the most caring vet I have come in contact with and is able to explain to the humans and able to treat and care for pets. She took the time to go over all the tests and ask others for their advice and was able to give a diagnosis and treatment and he has a full coat back and gaining leg strength. A million thanks to Park Grove!
