“Last year, we wanted our son to learn martial arts and started looking for places, we tried Dojo and another place in Eden Prairie first and didn’t like either, luckily we didn’t give up and decided to give Impact a try. We’ve been coming here ever since!
Ms. Gregg is an excellent teacher, she knows how to push the kids while keeping class entertaining and fun. How she has the energy and patience to show up so consistently every day I don’t know, but it’s impressive!
I love that in addition to the taekwondo they work on teaching discipline and citizenship skills by encouraging kids to earn stripes on their belts by for example brushing their teeth without being reminded for 5 days in a row. The parents and kids decide on what task is appropriate for them to earn the stripe. Also things like writing short book reports gives them their education stripe. They need all stripes to advance to the next level belt. This system has been encouraging for my son.
The monthly fee is a bit steep (but still less than the 2 other martial arts centers we tried out) so we make sure to come to class twice a week.
From our 7 year old son: this is the best place to learn taekwondo. Ms. Gregg is a funny teacher who really likes push ups, and she’s a great teacher overall!”
