“10 years ago I was in the military and did about 2 years of MMA / BJJ training. I had my first class last week and am extremely impressed. All of the students there seem genuinely interested in learning and improving rather than just hanging out. The instructors are not only extremely knowledgeable, but several of them actually compete in MMA competitions.I've seen them demonstrate some very high-skill techniques, and they're exceptional at explaining what they're doing.Bottom line, there are only a few places in the area to train in MMA, but don't bother with the others. This place is amazing and totally worth it if you want to develop skill in MMA / BJJ fighting styles.“

“Mr. Roell's USA Karate has been a wonderful experience for my 9-year-old daughter. Over the past year, the center's strong emphasis on discipline, respect, and focus has not only helped her develop essential life skills but also made it a place she genuinely looks forward to attending. We're incredibly grateful for the positive impact it's had on her.“

“My daughter started lessons here before COVID and loved it. We took a break and started her back up in December 2021 at age 6. Even after all that time the instructors recognized her. This dojang is more than a place to learn a martial art. It is a place to develop your whole self and an opportunity to be a part of a special community. If you're a parent, it's a place to have a partner in parenting.I cannot sing enough praises for the instructors. If you watch them, you can see their passion for what they do. If you've ever thought of giving Tae Kwon Do a try, this is a wonderful place to check out.“

“Excellent self defense school! Our 7yo daughter can’t wait for her next class. She has been enrolled for 8 months. The instructors are really good and teach the kids to be respectful, focused and work hard. I highly recommend this studio for families who want to have their kids in a routine, learn respect and gain confidence in a fun way.“

“We have twin boys going to Kindergarten in Richfield. We looked at *lots* of after-school options and are so glad we went with Hwa Rang Do. The kids enjoy getting better at martial arts — it's so fun to see them practicing their moves at home, and they felt so proud when they graduated to the next belt color. And the portion of the program that isn't martial arts is exactly what we wanted in an after-school program: the instructors are great with the kids, and find a balance between letting them goof off and get out energy and keeping the environment calm and organized. Every time we pick up the kids they're in the middle of some creative new art or craft, from making gingerbread houses to making their own "swords" from cardboard to beading and sculpting. I really like the physical space too — lots of board games, art supplies, and books, as well as foosball, an aquarium, and couches to just hang out. We highly recommend this program! Thanks to all the staff!“

“The skills taught where not only the techniques of karate, but life skills that carry on in a persons life . My daughter Kyra, started her karate career at 5 earning her black belt when she was 12. Here brother Chris started at age 10 and received his 3 degree BB his senior year in HS. To this day, both use the skills taught in there daily life, how they approach tough situations, remembering the difference between a white belt and a black belt, is the black belt didn't quit, even when things got tough.Through the course of her athletic career I firmly believe the teaching Kyra received in the early years at AKS, gave her skills most girls did not have. Kyra has become a star Volley Ball player here in CA grabbing the attention of the University of Wisconsin Rowing coach.... yes rowing.( interesting story) Kyra's physical attributes, speed, strength and agility have given her an athletic Scholarship to U of Wisconsin , Madison. The core of who Kyra and Chris are that has help them succeed came from all the years AKS and Mr Marotta.“

“I've had the honor of training under Gina for nine years. The journey from receiving my purple to brown belt has been transformative, and much of that credit goes to Gina's unwavering commitment to her students. Her dedication is so profound that even when I lived abroad for five years, I chose to remain ranked under X2. No matter where I trained globally, I always felt my true home was at X2.The training room at X2 is vibrant, thanks to a diverse group of instructors. Coach B's classes are a delightful blend of humor and expertise, making every session engaging. Coach S's journey from a reserved white belt to a deeply thoughtful instructor is truly inspiring. Coach A, despite her petite stature of 4'11", brings an intense energy to the room, pushing everyone to embrace a more dynamic style of Jiu-Jitsu. And then there's Coach "Doctor Prof.", whose expertise in technical leg locks and experience with MMA fighters has added a fresh dimension to our training.Having trained in 13 countries and at over 75 gyms, I can say with absolute certainty that X2 Fitness is unparalleled. It's not just a gym; it's a community, a family. The diverse tapestry of individuals, all coming together with a shared passion, makes X2 a truly unique and special place. If you're looking for more than just training, but a place to belong, grow, and thrive, X2 Fitness is the place to be.“
