Dr. Eric Ayen does amazing chiropractic work. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. He has relieved my neck and back pain better than any other chiropractor and has recommended exercises to help strengthen my back and neck. He responded quickly to my questions and sent advice about spinal issues when I was in the south for the winter. The Activator Method of treatment is extremely effective and yet gentle and targeted toward those areas causing pain. He receives my highest recommendation.

If you are putting up with pain because past care, whether it was chiropractic, physical therapy or other, just didn’t do the trick, I can tell you to keep trying, there is a solution and I stumbled on it at Ayen Chiropractic in Byron, MN about three months ago. My issues: Lower back pain-quite severe and chronic, right knee pain, Plantar fasciitis, sometimes a stiff neck, headaches, occasional upper back, etc. I ended up at Ayen Chiropractic is because I was seeking care for my dad (83yrs.) He needed gentle care-someone who uses the activator tool. Once I saw what Dr. Ayen did for my dad, I made an appointment for myself. Dr. Ayen only uses the Activator Tool. From my past experiences, I had so-so results with Activator Tool therapy but I know why now. Dr. Ayen is an Advanced Proficiency rated Activator Methods Chiropractor. This is what made all the difference. In one visit I understood why all Chiropractors are not created equally. I’ll jump to the end of the story first...my pain is nearly 100% gone, back, knee and even plantar fasciitis, and I can completely live with that. Things I can do now that I couldn’t do 80 days ago or for years: move, bend, go on walks, household chores, work events (for my job), and stand for 2 hours. WHAT DR. AYEN DID THAT WAS DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS: He evaluated me very thoroughly the first time I went in, spent time with me, never took, therefore, never charged me for x-rays. We pinpointed that my pain was due to a sports injury from 25 years ago. He doesn’t charge you for each body part, it’s just one charge for the appointment (and it’s inexpensive! More on that later) - therefore he adjusts, SEVERAL areas (my feet, knees, neck, and back, even my head and jaw) to get the entire body back in place. This I think is the BIGGEST REASON YOU SEE RESULTS when others haven’t been able to provide results. While he is adjusting me he is doing constant alignment checks throughout the session to see if that did the trick or if there’s another area of the body pulling me out. In other words, he’s checking his results to make sure it works, right then and there, before sending you back out the door. He’s the first Chiropractor who has turned my plantar fasciitis around. Not 100% gone but a VAST improvement since it started 7 years ago. (And I’ve tried everything for my plantar fasciitis.) OTHER STUFF I REALLY LIKE First, let me tell you he’s inexpensive. Out of pocket for me was $18 cheaper per visit than my Rochester Chiropractors. (Sorry, Roch chiro...that’s just the truth). First-time intake charge is cheap too, and fast. He truly wants to see if he can get you to the point where you are seeing him less and he lets you decide that with him, he doesn’t force it on you or scare you into doing it. I go once a month now and that’s enough. He’s very flexible on appointments when I need to shift my time, I’ve actually always been able to see him the same day, just at a different time. He’s tech proficient-has a good website, you can check in on a monitor at the front, you can reach him by phone, email and even text. He’s SUPER pleasant and knowledgeable so you thoroughly enjoy the appointment. I know I’ll come away feeling a great deal better each time and I always gain a great deal of ancillary knowledge in areas of nutrition, information about how muscles work, etc, just through our conversation during the visit. I’m not typically a review write because, a. It takes time and, b. I’m not usually highly motivated to, but living with constant pain really sucks. So before you give up and say, “I’ll just live with it,” I’d recommend giving it one last shot because I did and this time it worked amazingly well. I just wanted to share this with others living with pain. Note: This is a completely unsolicited review. Dr. Ayen doesn’t know I’m writing it.
