Great Clips

Great Clips in Alexandria provides affordable haircuts for men, women, and children, offering services such as haircuts, beard trims, bang trims, and shampooing. They are open in the evenings and on weekends, accepting walk-ins or online check-ins to reduce wait times. However, some clients have expressed concern about the Alexandria location closing at 4 p.m., which may not accommodate those working later hours.

It is recommended to book same-day appointments through the Great Clips app, allowing users to monitor wait times and the number of customers ahead of them. The system generally works well, although there have been instances of long virtual waits and occasional full appointment schedules since 2020.

For standard haircuts, the salon receives positive feedback, and online reservations have functioned smoothly. However, those with unique haircuts may experience varying results, and clients with non-European hair, particularly women, might feel hesitant due to the limited diversity of curly hair types (2C or less) among stylists and customers. Despite these concerns, the salon's conversations around haircuts are respectful of customers' choices.
