“Just visited this barber shop! Our barber was awesome. When approaching this barbershop some random lady walked up to us. We began conversating about what style I wanted for my son. I told her I wasn't sure of a specific type. Did they have example templates? She said no. So I stated. No problem! I'll look a few up. She was okay! I called her over to ask if there were any of the barbers that could suggest something good for him. She said I can cut his hair. I stated thank you but can we have a male barber? I apologized to her and said that it wasn't to degrade her. But, I'm from the old school way of doing things. Male cuts males hair, female does females hair. My son is twelve and it wasn't like she had an appropriate attire on to begin with. But that was truly the reason for my decision.
She acted as if she understood! And said you can ask any barber inside. I said thank you. And my husband went in to find one. That gentleman said he could do my son's hair. She then approaches the chair and began whispering to him. I kinda thought she was talking about the situation but wasn't sure so I let it go. Moving forward when we got in the car my son who is soft spoken told us she was telling the barber what happened but trying to make a big deal out of it. So, I told him next time tell me. We could have found somewhere else. But he proceeded to defend the barber and stared he said that he understood our decision. Which I respect. And will be bringing my son to him again.

Had she not have acted like a toddler throwing a fit over a preference. I could have told her that I had two daughters that I would have been interested in bringing in to her. But, she allowed her ignorance to prevail and showcase. And I'm straight!“
