After being a patient for over 20 years I’m highly disappointed. The front desk staff can’t locate my insurance and run eligibility. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I was told 3 different stories regarding my prior auth which was denied because when they finally contacted my insurance they provided the wrong details. My insurance attempted to contact the front desk and was left on hold several times.If it wasn’t for Dr Brennan and Dr Hannah I would be going elsewhere. I have to call daily to tell them how to run a prior authorization and still nothing. They act like I’m bothering them when I call to let them know they still haven’t corrected my information for my authorization.Looking for a new office as we speak. I have to 3 way call with my insurance company on the phone to help them do their job. My insurance advocate said to stay on them to get information corrected and resent. I guess when I go in for my next appointment I will have to show them what to do.Update as of Dec 2025 I’m leaving this office and getting a new Primary Care physician. Everytime they assign me a new resident I have to start treatment over again.The quality of care has changed severely.Once again the front desk screwed up my paperwork and told me I had to start over.I found myself a new Physcian.I’m exhausted from playing musical chairs and phone tag with my health.Will not be returning ever!

I have been going to Oakland Primary Care for more than 20 years. Dr. Ionescu is the most caring doctor. She takes her time and discusses everything that she needs to for you to know. If there are any questions that you have she will answer. She takes time out and will call you even if it off hours or on the weekends to follow up with a test results or medication that she recently prescribed to see how well you are doing. She is a breath of fresh air in the medical field. She makes you feel at ease and having a one on one with her is very comfortable. She everything you want for a doctor and your medical care.

Do not go if you are a senior citizen they d not even care about you!! Two doctors would not ev en go over my test results to see why I was referred back to them. One of the doctors cancelled my appointment did not inform me beause I was coming earlier than my scheduled appt. Both doctors did not review my test results when I specifically informed the clerical team that was the reason for my appointment.. You are not referrred back to your PCP for no reason. I am finding a PCP who will review test results. I know it is probably because I have many ailments and these young initerns would rather work with healthy people, but it makes no sense to not review tests results when referred back to a PCP.

Terrible experience. Sat for over an hour with resident discussing how my medicine is not working and I'm having side effects, she went back to discuss my situation with the doctor and came back to tell me there will be no changes in my medicine. Feeling so hopeless and discouraged right now. This was after making me wait 2 weeks even though i said i can feel my mental health getting bad and i need a change asap. This is my life on the line and i feel myself slipping away i don't have energy for this i thought i came for help.

My experience with Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital Warren was a good one,the nurses and Doctors were knowledgeable,caring and the Hospitality was good too.

I have been a patient over 20 years. The service, staff, care and facility has tremendously went down. Never will you see the same doctor twice, and the provider that you will see (usually a resident) never looks at your previous visit with previous providers to understand your history, so the entire visit is spent recapping what was said on previous visit. Its really hard finding providers who actually care. Today rant is over lab test results for my daughter that has been texted to my phone with a link, the link is has not worked in over a week. So I called the office several times on last week, and again on today twice, on hold for 12 minutes, hung up called back on hold again til they finally picked up, requesting the provider that actually had a visit with my daughter to CALL MY PHONE directly and speak with ME. Hopefully eberything is ok with her results!
