*07.04.2023 - Suffered a Maisonneuve fracture left ankle *07.17.2023 - Surgical Team created a Titanium 'Screw Cage to hold the tallus, tibia, and fibula in place and allow the ligaments to heal. I was lucky enough to escape the puller plate on the fibula. *10.25.2023 - Surgical Team able to REMOVE 'some' of the hardware within my ankle, currently acting as a hard-stop-limiter to protect the progress, which had heavily impact my ability to sway, twist, or roll the ankle, (critical for my work as a Visual Media Specialist and Photo/Video LiveEvent ProductionCrewer.) *10.26.2023 - Care continues with my TRtroy Fam! LOOKING FORWARD[!!!] to continuing my progress with the Troy Team Rehab Family. From Denise working the phone and desk, combating our conflicted calendar and insurance accountants, ON OUR BEHALF! Special thanks to Hannah/Tiffany for guiding me in my routine, reinforcing me in moments of doubt/struggle, and building back the stregnth that'd so quickly atrophied in the Cast/subsequent BootBrace. Not just assigning tasks from a worksheet but actually helping me heal, (hearing me complain), correcting me when wrong/favoring the wound instead of working through it, and showing compassion as they helped me work out the tightened ligaments and flex the reclaimed muscle. Grateful for Sean creating such a bright, modern, friendly place to heal and finding the best staff to guide those hurting after a bad break. The Troy TRteam have done that and beyond, Providing HOPE! Not the sterile medical facility your mind's eye may conjure up; but instead; bright art-covered walls, large bay windows looking out over the autumnal treetops and a seemingly endless assortment of equipment, accessories, and accomodations for any injury/muscle/workout you could fathom. Love all Y'all so freaking much for making a scary experience, not just enjoyable but FUN! Great staff, custom care plans, going above and beyond with your insurance companies. They worked with our complicated schedule. They cared about our concerns, and built WITH us a strong foundation in the critical early stages of rehabilitation. without feeling like just another patient number, our visits through this endeavor have been the highlight of my week. When dealing with the anxiety of immobilization, the staff were able to reassure me and craft a custom Plan of care to assist in my recovery, challenge me when required for proper growth, and even provide resources for Homework to accelerate my progress having to limit visits for insurance reasons.
