Dr. Pellerito was highly recommended to me by a friend who has a family member as his patient. I was very hesitant to go see an orthopedist, but my knee was insistent that I go. My fears were put at ease as soon as I met Dr. Pellerito. He has a calming personality and is very patient and easy to talk to. I'm going through treatment now and I've already had success. It took a while to decide what I wanted to do and he understood my concerns and let me steer my own ship as far as what choices I had. His office staff is pleasant to interact with and the waiting room is large. Yes there are many doctors at this practice but there is still plenty of seating. I was fortunate to have my friend recommend Dr. Pellerito and it's reassuring to know that such a kind and caring doctor has my best interests in mind.

Had a bad experience after my wife had her first (Supartz) knee injection last Monday. She had headache, vomiting and diarrhea within an hour of returning home. She tried to wait it out to see if it would subside. Would probably have gone to ER that night but she couldn’t leave the bathroom. The product use literature I found on-line said her symptoms were known but less common side effects, and that they usually subsided on their own. I called Dr. Hinz office on Thursday morning as she was still sick. Sandy answered the phone and was surprised at the reaction and expressed doubt it was from the injection. I asked if they could prescribe something for the nausea and was told we needed to go to our primary care doctor for that. She said Dr Hinz was in the office and that she’d leave him a message. No one returned my call on Thursday. I called again Friday morning. I was told Dr Hinz did not get the message. Sandy apologized that no one had called us and tracked down Dr Hinz who finally did call. Unfortunately, what he said was that he’s never seen that reaction so it must be something else. He seemed very much in denial that it had anything to do with the injection, raised his voice and seemed upset that we would even think that her issues were caused by the injection, and did not offer any help. In my view, he should have at least asked more details, expressed some concern, and offer some anti-nausea meds or other advice. Instead, his call was to very arrogantly tell us he didn’t think it was the injection and nothing he would do. We proceeded to the emergency room. After labs, scans, etc., the ER doctor agreed that the injection was the likely cause of the “intolerance,” and those side effects are indeed in the literature. They rehydrated her, provided meds for the nausea but suggested the symptoms may hang around until the injection medication gets out of her system, which he did not know how long it may take. The reaction was not the doctor’s fault, however, the lack of any sense of urgency or follow up after my call, and his insistence that it was not likely from the injection since he’s never seen that before, suggests to me that the office has an unacceptable level of concern for patients, and that the doctor is not well versed in the potential side effects of his treatments, whether or not he has seen all of them. We won’t be going back to this practice, and unfortunately will have to start treatment for her knee issues all over again somewhere else after she recovers, which is an unknown at this point. It has been a week and she is still sick. I have reported the adverse effects to Bioventus, the US drug distributor, who recorded the details and seemed to take the issue seriously, and the FDA Medwatch program.

I am Sherrie Knudson(Cramton). In the past Benedetto Pellerito did a fine job doing surgery on my left femur. This May I set up an appointment for a back problem I was having. I seen Dr Pellerito again. In the short time I seen him he told me my problem was arthritis. No ex-ray was taken. I was given two prescriptions and told to come back in a month. I felt I was brushed off. Meanwhile I went to a pain doctor who ordered a MRI. The results showed a fractured L3.
I just wanted to pass this on. I feel he could have spent more time examining my problem. Sherrie Knudson

Terrible service. Wait is to long. Overpriced and overrated. Receptionist and Billing department are rude and constantly messing up. Will not be returning! Whoever works for the billing department should be fired.

Dr. Pellerito was nice and helpful but this office is SO SLOW. Every time I’ve been here I’ve waited over an hour past my appointment time. If you have nowhere to be this place is great, but good luck if you have a job.

Dr Hinz is absolutely the best. I needed a complicated reconstrucciòn surgery after being hit by a car. All my leg ligaments were pretty much destroyed and my knee was also shattered. He did a surgery that was two in one. He always listens and he's always been kind as well as his staff. I'll give 10 starts if I could.

We took our teenager to see Dr. Hinz about a sports related issue. He listened and took their concerns seriously. He did a thorough assessment and then did some tests to rule out other issues. After that, he explained why the issue was occurring, offered treatment options and made recommendations. It was so helpful to know what was happening and why the sport was exacerbating the problem. He was also very gentle and sensitive about dealing with a nervous teenager. I really appreciated the care Dr. Hinz provided.
