After reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about going. But, since I had bought a groupon, I decided to try them out at least. I called earlier in the week for an appointment and got a Saturday appointment. I showed up on time and they showed me in and offered me a drink. My appointment was with Danielle, she was really nice and did a nice job on my nails. The color selection is more limited as compared to a full nail salon but she has all the classics (pink, red, black and some neons too). I called Salon Retro on a whim. I was stopped in traffic on 14 Mile west of Crooks and saw them working through the window. I was intrigued. After checking out the website (www.salon-retro.com) and finding a coupon on another website, I decided to give them a call. Tony worked me in right away. The salon is very open and bright...it's that great front window. There's art work from a local artist on the walls...very cool. I've been at other places that seemed crowded and the clients are practically sitting on top of each other, so this is a really nice change.
