I cannot praise the treatment by both staff and the doctors who have been treating my brother with very complex cataracts. They have exhibited patience, kindness and expertise. Thank you, Dr. Maywood and Dr. Gupta!!

Seen in hospital for attack. Found irregularity. Provided follow up. 20 minute appointment became 2 hours for thorough inspection. All good. Suggested referral by primary to neurologist. Incredible service. Fast staff. Easy to find. Good signage. Terribly difficult parking. Highly suggest a carpool. Eyes dilated unexpectedly, grateful to have a ride, prepared for complications to schedule. Pleased with extensive expertise of doctors. Negative result thank goodness. Insurance for this just got complicated.

I'm giving three stars because my treatment at the BEI has been fine. Otherwise, I'm deeply disappointed that I called for an appointment and my call was not returned until the following day - after I had made an appointment with another retinal care practice. It turned out I had a retinal tear, which is important to treat early so it doesn't lead to retinal detachment. When the scheduler called, her excuse for not calling back was that she went home. Yikes.
