Windows Installation near Rochester

“We have a 30+ year old that had original windows. After researching a variety of options, we were very happy we chose to use DeYonker. Dan was very patient, informative, and offered good suggestions during the quoting process. We had 16 windows, 1 sliding door, converted a window to a sliding door, and converted a bay of windows to 9 ft sliding door (which is our favorite part!). We ended up using a combination of 400-series (dark bronze) windows and E-series sliding doors. We used the smartsun feature on most of the windows/doors and it made a world of difference. We get heavy sun in the morning and it was uncomfortably hot during the summer months. That totally changed with the new windows, even without any window coverings.

DeYonker estimated an 8 week lead time on the windows, and construction started right on time, 9 weeks after we placed our order. Cindy and Christina were organized and helpful during the ordering process and kept us up to date with scheduling.

We had a full week of installation and I was shocked the crew was able to finish within that time frame. Mike and his crew were very professional, friendly, on-time, and talented. The installation, tight trim work, limestone steps, and clean-up exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be using DeYonker in the future once we replace the remaining windows. “D&W did a great job on our sunroom.

We had a small sunroom built onto an existing porch. The old screened porch that was in the location was removed. The deck in the photo is also new, but was not done by D&W. It was done by another company who also did a great job. You can check my other reviews if you want to know who did it. The mini-split in one of the photos was also added by me.

I was particularly impressed by level of detail they put into the finish trim of the sunroom. Having an older house and an existing structure that needed to be removed, I was concerned that it might look rough, particularly where the new sunroom worked into the older house, but they did a great job of trimming everything out. It just looks clean and right.

The sales experience was good. The salesman was very clear about what was and was not included. He always responded promptly to any inquiry. The room was expensive, but it was very competitive with the other quote we got. They had a significant backlog, but they were upfront about this and they got the job done within the promised timeframe. The company is based in the Flint area (sales office in Auburn Hills), but they had no problem traveling to our home in Troy.

The installers were great (Gene, Eugene, and a third guy whose name escapes me). I'd give them six stars if I could. They all work directly for the company, some for a long time (not subcontractors). They were clearly very experienced and knew exactly what they were doing. They took the time to get all the details right.

The electrical work was done by a subcontractor, but he also clearly was very comfortable with doing electrical in sunrooms, which is a little different than in a normal house. I had no issues with the electrical company.

The only thing about this whole experience that was maybe less than ideal was that after the job was done it took a long time to get the inspections completed. I'm a little baffled as to why. My city guarantees next day inspections, and there were no problems with any inspections once they finally happened. But overall this was just a minor annoyance in an otherwise great job.“

We had a small project of removing a couple of walls in our kitchen and no contractor wanted to do the work because it was too small a project, or wanted to charge an exorbitant amount for it.
