ZipSauce

Very good. First time we had Zip Sauce was at Freighter's in Port Huron, MI. Enjoyed it (however the cut of beef was so thin...not the sauce's fault). Liked it so much we researched the internet and found a number of recipes for Zip Sauce. Tried a couple, but they seemed Worcestershire sauce based where this is Soy sauce based. They were good, but not what we tasted at Freighter's. For the bottled Zip Sauce: granted it is stronger on the Soy side, but it mellows out with a slight different taste that lingers. We did what the instruction of the bottle mentioned and made clarified butter to pair it with. However, the first time we tried it poured over the steak - it was ...ok...it is more of an 'au jus' consistency - not even near thick. The next time we put it in ramekins (like Freighter's does) and it was much more enjoyable to dip. Thumbs up. I don't give it '5' stars ONLY because as a sauce my 100% favorite is a rich red wine sauce we make at home.
