About LaVida Massage
LaVida Massage of Rochester Hills provides a variety of health and wellness services in an elegant yet casual setting. The certified therapists are skilled at customizing treatments to meet each client's needs. Many customers have praised the massage therapists, such as Johnny and Vanessa, for their attentive and effective care, especially in addressing chronic issues. Clients have reported significant relief from pain, with some experiencing improvement after just a few sessions, and others feeling much better with regular visits. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making it easy to schedule appointments and work with different therapists when needed. The location is convenient, situated in a strip mall across from Ascension Hospital, with a large parking lot and nearby shops. First-time clients can enjoy discounts, and appointments are often scheduled about every three weeks for optimal results, although costs can be high. The lobby has a spa-like feel, but some clients found the massage rooms to be more basic, which was a minor disappointment. Overall, the combination of expert therapists, friendly staff, and effective treatments makes LaVida Massage a popular choice for many seeking relief and relaxation.
I went in with pain in my neck shoulder and trap.
My arm would go numb at times ...just a real nagging pain.
Jenny treated me for 4 weeks , used CBD I bought there ...well I have total relief ...more and more weekly. I feel much better with no pain today!!
It takes a commitment..I got every week and will slowly wean off two two or 3 weeks depending how I feel.
Important thing I learned is you have to trust your Masseuse, go as often as suggested or how you feel.
My lovely friend got me a gift card to here and I was able to get a 60-minute massage with it! LaVida Massage offers a discount to first-time clients for the massage, so that was a nice perk. This place is located in the strip mall/plaza across from Ascension Hospital in Rochester, just a mile away from downtown Rochester, so you get the nice proximity to the downtown area without the headache of figuring out street parking or ticketed parking structures. There's a nice big parking lot here and plenty of other establishments you can check out before or after your massage. When you walk into LaVida Massage, you are greeted by a person at the front desk that helps to check you in and gives you a sheet to fill about about what areas you might want focus on and what areas you want to avoid, along with other general health questions. The lobby is super done up and spa-looking where you can wait. My masseuse was ready for me, so before I could sit down she took me to the back and into one of the massage rooms. The massage is customized to what you want, which I really enjoyed, so my masseuse and I talked about that in the room for a bit before she left so I could get undressed and under the sheet. I wanted a general overall massage given that nothing in particular was bothering me. My masseuse, Katie O, was really lovely! I am allergic to aloe as well, so she went to double check the products she was going to use and switched some out, which I really appreciated - super accommodating! As she began the massage, her and I chatted for a bit, but then eventually she let me just sink into the relaxation and enjoy the massage. She checked in about pressure and firmness and it was all perfect for me! Before I knew it, the massage was over and I was sad for it to be over! All in all, it was a really great experience. They did the sales pitch at the end as I left to sign up for the membership while I was setting up my next appointment. They also recommend that you get a massage every 3 weeks and I was like wow - I wish! Massages are expensive, theirs normally run $100-$120 per massage and with that pricing, I can not go anywhere near every 3 weeks. Lastly, my one main detractor of LaVida massage was the vast difference between how nice the lobby looked and how nice the massage room looked. The massage rooms look very basic and almost a little "old' and not at all spa-like the way the lobby did. It was a bit jarring in the beginning and it was a bit uncomfortable at first on the massage table since I think it was a little old and I could feel some parts of it pushing in to me where I wasn't expecting it to, but I eventually got over it and was able to focus on enjoying the massage.
I've been going to LaVida in Rochester for several years. Johnny is the massage therapist I go to most of the time. He is very conscientious about determining where he needs to focus each time. I'm amazed at how he seems to find the root of a lot of my issues which often originate in other areas. It's refreshing to work with someone who is so personally invested in helping the client feel the best they can.
I've needed massage therapy for over a decade and Johnny is hands down the best massage therapist I've worked with. Since my issues are chronic they're much more difficult to treat, yet Johnny always has an upbeat, can do, attitude about doing the best he...read full review
