06-18-2025 My exposure to Thoms Bros. Landscaping, Inc. is kind of unusual. I did not know them before. I didn’t hire them. The management of the Crosswinds East Condominium in Clinton Twp. community complex hired them to correct the drainage problem around the building I live in. I guess the company provides also lawn mowing services and snow clearing for our community. Since I was the one who insisted with the management and the Board that the problem be corrected as the standing water after heavy rains causes foundation problems to the building and the water entering through the so-called rod holes to my own as well my neighbor’s basements, I kind of felt obligated to monitor and cooperate with the crew send here to fix the problem. I write this review here, realizing how huge this company really is. Drainage slice of this company must be a very small part of their core business activity. Nevertheless, Ron and his crew of three from Thomas Bros. Landscaping, Inc., Drainage Division, did an absolutely perfect job by the home unit I live. I followed them up with my phone in hand and some suggestions and good word. This crew of three I would recommend to anyone having problems with water sitting around your foundation because the drainage system is collapsed or the gutters don’t work efficiently enough to push the heavy rain access water far away from the building. These guys rebuild and reconnected the underground drainage pipes straight to the main drainage manhole of the city stormwater system. I cannot thank them enough for the very professional and detailed, as well as hard and clean job they have done, which took them just 2 days to finish! Just check out the attached pictures! Hopefully their work will ease the problems with standing water around the building and occasional small leakage from the rod holes in the basement walls! Ron, I want to publicly thank you and commend you with your two companions for the excellent work done. It was a pleasure to talk to you and watch work on this project. I am not one to really complete reviews or rate a company but I have say something about Thoms Bros, Landscaping, Inc. There are a breath of fresh air in regard to their professional manner, quality service and willingness to go above and beyond. Our association has struggled to find a landscaping company that cares about their quality of work and professionalism. We all know accidents happen with any company. While prepping the flower beds around all the homes, one of the workers cut an electrical that I thought went to my outdoor lighting. I wasn’t upset but I did expect the company to repair the accidental cutting. The company was amazing. The gentleman who called asked for permission to come onto my property to look at the wire (wow), and invited me to come outside while he assessed the wire and repaired it. He said “I am more than happy to explain how and why I will repair it once I take a look.” (Like what —impressive) He discovered it was an old cable line. He double checked to make sure it wasn’t connected to anything. Then…..wait for it….. He asked me if I wanted help setting the timer on my outdoor lighting, which is really confusing. He had me go to my basement by the lighting timer and call him on the phone while he was outside looking at the lights to make sure they were on. Then, he came in and set my timer AND gave me tips on how to update my timer, via an Alexa Plug. He was like family. He didn’t rush through my questions. He went WAY above what he needed to do. What an amazing experience to have a company that is willing to actually care about their customers to that level. I highly recommend them. WOW, I cannot say enough good things. Absolutely impressed !!
A stellar World-Class group to collaborate with. Provided a little instruction in dry stone walling initially - and then their enthusiastic team went on to build 3 beautiful sections of freestanding wall . They also built several demanding "special features" called wall heads. Very lovely work and a joy-filled and inspired team to work with !
