The Derm Institute of West Michigan has a respected staff that goes beyond basic to create a personal plan. The team starts by listening to a patient’s skin story to find the best care. Patients describe the staff as beyond courteous, very professional, and helpful, making them feel comfortable. The front desk is awesome, friendly, and professional. Lisa Bowersox is a favorite doctor with a great bedside manner who truly cares about her patients. Patients feel grateful she is in Northern Michigan and note they don’t feel like a “number.” Appointments can be made within a reasonable amount of time. One patient mentioned a wait of an hour but still had a wonderful experience, gaining excellent information about skin conditions and next steps for a scar. Another patient had a great experience with a fun and professional staff, and a very thorough exam. A patient with a prompt skin issue was seen in two days, and Lisa Bowersox was amazing.
This was my first visit to The Derm Institute and I will definitely be going back and recommending this place. My physician, Lisa Bowersox was attentive to all of my skin concerns. I left feeling at peace and taken care of.

I absolutely love The Derm Institute! Lisa Bowersox is the BEST! I have been going to her for several years now & I wouldn't go anywhere else. She has a great bedside manner and truly cares about her patients. You are greeted with kindness from the minute you walk in the door by her receptionist who is friendly and professional as well. You can actually get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time too & you don’t feel like a “number”. I am grateful she is in Northern Michigan. We are lucky to have her!
