I visited and got a full highlight from Abby and absolutely loved the color and cut! The salon was so clean and nice and the owner welcomed me in and was very inviting!! I highly recommend!

I've been getting a haircut from Jeff, the owner, for many years now and I won't go anywhere else. He maybe pricey compared with a 15 minute haircut you can get from national chains your pay $18 for, but you're paying for his expertise, fashion sense, and getting the exact style you want, satisfaction guaranteed. Meaning if after sleeping overnight you don't like the haircut you got, you can go back and get it redone for no additional charge till you're satisfied. That's the kind of confidence and commitment he brings to his work. Small surprise given his background. He learned hairdressing (together with his brother) at an early age from his mother who was a hairdresser herself. He apprenticed under Paul Mitchell who took him under his wing and took him on US tours as his sidekick over several years demonstrating his cutting-edge styling techniques. He's won multiple awards. And he taught hairdressing in his salon for 34 years graduating dozens of six-figure earners. Jeff's natural talent abundantly demonstrates itself in his flair for hair design and execution: he once described the process in exactly the same way Michelangelo talked about his sculpture: he sees the the style he wants to create very clearly in his mind before he begins cutting. He doesn't just rely on intuition like a free-styler would. In his execution he applies an engineer-like precision in what he calls the "geometric"' haircut. "That's how you achieve consistency," he says. You'd be paying easily double, possibly triple, in New York or San Francisco for a hairdresser of this caliber. I feel very lucky to have him in our neighborhood! You'd be enamored by his cheerfulness when he greets you, his upbeat personality, and above all his dedication and professionalism you'll soon discover once you sit in that chair.

I've been going to Jeff West since I was 17. There is no one that comes close to his skill. He is the best in the business. Rosie has been at Salon Head West for many years and she's fabulous as well. Maia is the newest member. She rocks highlights and color. You will love everything about this Salon!
