This is a great place to go to for eye exams, contacts and glasses. I made an appointment and got in right away. Doctor Garmo was fantastic. She was very professional and knowledgeable. One of the best experiences I’ve had with an optometrist. Thank you!

The staff is very polite and professional, Alevia, Gisella, Dr. Garmo and Dr.Yalda. The doctors are very thorough and show concern about your optical health. As far as ordering a new eyeglass prescription it takes a while for the prescription to be processed. Once the order is completed and delivered to the office the staff make sure your prescription is accurate and comfortable for your vision.

I received a standard eye and contact fitting exam, and they billed my medical insurance. I am 34 and told them I noticed more floaters post pregnancy, but did not want them to dilate my eyes. Optometrist declined to give me any possible explanation into why I may have floaters until I agreed to a half dose of the eye dilation. She left the room for 20 min (enough time to google an explanation) and provided me one as she told me my retina was not detached. (I wasn’t even exhibiting symptoms of a retinal detachment). She also did not do any further testing or even give me a referral. The “oh just let us know if you continue to see floaters”….. which she told me was due to my age. The front desk proceeded to tell me they were going to bill my medical insurance as I reported “floaters and headaches”. I did NOT report any headaches. They told me if I received a bill to contact them. Well, I received a 200 dollar bill in the mail, and the office could not help me as the doctor documented that I said I reported “flashes” and therefore the visit became a medical visit even though she did nothing outside of a standard exam. At other eye offices, I have reported that I had floaters and received the dilation drops. Never have they billed my medical insurance. Never have I ever received nor was billed for such a routine service. I was not impressed during my first visit here as I was pressured to have my eyes dilated and then I was later billed without consent that answering her exam questions would result in them billing my medical insurance. This was my first and certainly my last visit.

Not impressed. Wife went in for a standard exam and walked out with an unreasonably high medical bill.

The staff is nice however the tech who taught my daughter had very little knowledge on how to teach a contact class. The tech kept setting contacts on paper towel which then irritated my daughters eyes and when asking for a fresh pair of contacts we were forced to come in for another class. This Novi location is more difficult then it should be and has been such a taxing process. I wouldn’t recommend for first time contact wearers.

Had an appointment today and it honestly was my best I’ve ever had.

First time here and everything was effortless. Signed in with the very nice women at the front desk, Could hear how patient and caring they were towards a child in the back having exams done.

I have Keratoconus and went in to get fitted for Scleral Lenses. I never realized how much I took vision for granted until today. They talked me thru the process, Got me fitted and ordered the lenses for me.

HIGHLY recommend going here if you’re looking around and reading reviews.

This was my first time at Michigan Eye it was a great experience. Dr Yalda was very thorough and the staff helped me pick out a great pair of glasses. They came in very quickly and I've received so many compliments on them. Thank you Dr Yalda and Michigan eye

Your company definitely have to explain about how the 45 day waiting period works. It starts from the day you make a payment and not the day you actually receive the item.
