PLEASE READ BEFORE BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING. This dealership sold me my car under false pretenses!!! I went to this dealership and ended up interested in a Ford Focus. Being a young single woman I wanted to make sure I was buying something dependable because let's face it, After saving for months to have a down payment I wouldn't have money for immediate repairs. I learned that this particular year is known for transmission issues so I contacted my salesman, Austin Smith, and he encouraged me to come in to discuss these concerns. He provided me a Carfax report as proof that the car didn't have a history of transmission problems. Being a first time buyer I was very naïve to the fact that Carfax won't reflect damages or repairs that weren't reported to insurance companies. Austin went a step further and assured me that the Audi dealership put in a new transmission. This was the only reason I was comfortable buying this car.I was still apprehensive and so Austin went a step further and asked a few other dealership staff and they confirmed that the transmission had been replaced. Had this been the end of my inquiries I might've been able to chalk this up to a newer sales guy just trying to make a sale even when he didn't really know what he was talking about. However, I was still apprehensive... So before signing any papers papers, Alex the sales manager was brought in to close me on payment (you know how car dealerships work) and he straight out told me to my face that this car had a "replaced "transmission and that I could buy with confidence.Jump ahead 5 months later and my car is having transmission issues. I Reached out to my sales person first, but of course Austin Smith is no longer with the dealership. So I took it to my local Ford dealer and paid $130 I didn't have for an inspection. Guess what? Transmission had never been touched or replaced and was original to the car. If it had just been the salesman that lied to me I could chalk that up to typical car salesman behavior, not that all car salesmen are like that, but let's face it some are. What I can't wrap my head around is the fact that the sales manager lied directly to my face, a 23 year old girl, just to make the sale.I hate playing the girl card here because it makes my gender sound weak and naïve, which is not the case. But let's face it, most females are not knowledgeable in automotive repair. So when we have Multiple people in the dealership, including the leadership team, telling us that something was done all we can do is trust them.It appears that is not the case with this dealership. This review is not necessarily an attempt to drag the dealership through the mud but more importantly to make anyone in my situation thoroughly aware that they will tell you anything they think you want or need to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line! And more importantly, they couldn't care less that now my "new to me car" is now inoperable for the very thing they told me they had fixed. So please use extreme caution when contemplating a purchase from this dealership because it could cost you big in the long run!
