As a fellow attorney, I was disappointed by my experience with Lakeshore Legal Aid, specifically with attorney Michael J. Yaldo. Professionalism and basic courtesy are foundational to the legal profession, regardless of whether representation is paid or provided at no cost.
Unfortunately, my interactions reflected a lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and an unnecessarily dismissive attitude. Being new to practice is understandable; arrogance and a lack of professionalism are not. As lawyers, we are all held to a higher standard, and that standard should apply uniformly.

They're supposed to represent you in court. However my lawyer I got that they employ is scared of Judges, and advised me (a disabled autistic person) not to take my case against my ableist landlord to court because she (the lawyer herself) fears judges. What kind of lawyer is scared of going to court? 0 out of 5 stars for me.
