We left our two dogs with Karla while we visited Mackinac Island. We reserved a kennel overnight thinking we would be coming back off the island after 6pm (latest pickup time at the kennel). A cool damp day on the island led to us returning to Mackinaw City much earlier. We called and told Karla we would be picking up our dogs early. When we arrived at the kennel our dogs were in the outside kennel and their belongings were packed and ready for us.
Between the great communication with Karla making the reservation, the drop off and pickup and the care our dogs received we were very pleased with Trails End Kennel.

Highly recommend! Options for boarding are slim in this neck of the woods but the reviews gave me a piece of mind (especially since I came from 2 states away). I boarded my little 1 year old Russell terrier for 3 nights while I stayed on the island. This was his first kenneling away from me and I was more nervous for the caretaker than I was for him. My little guy has separation anxiety, not 100% potty trained (he urinates when anxious), doesn’t let ANYONE touch him except for myself, so I was nervous he was going to be a handful. She is very professional and we did discuss his unfavorable reactions to strangers and the possibility of her not being able to handle him... read full review

We absolutely love Trails End Kennel & so does my dog! It's wonderful to know that while we're gone, our pup is looked after & cared for like she would be at home. 100% recommend
