Found Cotten's when I needed to board my pup. Met John and was extremely impressed. Came back a month later and did a board and train for my pup Soka. The difference between when I dropped her off and when I picked her up was nothing short of a miracle. She is so well behaved now compared to where she was prior to John's training. I would highly recommend John for anyone looking for training or boarding of their pup. Thank you John!

I cannot say enough positive things about the dog obedience training my dog and I have received with John and Allison. When we started, my 9 month old 75lb Golden Retriever was so completely impulsive, reactive, and very strong-willed that I had very seriously considered rehoming him. I felt overwhelmed and unsure if there was truly any help available, especially considering we had already been through a session of training with a different trainer.

John was recommended to me by a friend who had just had her dog complete training with him due to being reactive to other dogs. Our own dog was showing increasing signs of aggression and leash reactivity (growling, lunging, barking at other dogs, vehicles, bikes, scooters, runners. She was also barking consistently at noises outside such as people or delivery vehicles) despite working with a local trainer whose philosophy was “yes work”, so I reached out to John.
