I am so glad we signed my daughter up for the Black Belt program. It takes 4 years to get to Black Belt at WCIMA and if you've paid tuition those 4 years and have not reached black belt yet, you get to train for free until you do. This kept me coming. (It took my daughter 7 years because she had to really qualify for each rank.) I see a lot of students that struggle at times, but the patience and commitment of the dozens of black belts that teach or assist, makes the difference.

This school is the absolute best! Even when the Grandmaster was going through cancer treatments, and his son died, and his sister died, he never missed a beat. I have nothing but respect for his caring about the students no matter what he was personally going through. World-Class!

At first I was concerned because my son wasn't testing when the other kids did, then I came to realize it was because the Grandmaster has high standards and my son wasn't meeting them or working as hard. Once we had a talk, my son turned it around and became a hard-worker not only in karate but in life! Sure taught him a great lesson.
