“This place is AMAZING!! My kiddo is non-verbal autistic, I was extremely nervous to take her to a dentist at all- let alone for the first time. I didn’t know how she’d cooperate, if they’d be able to get anything done because of sensory issues and intolerance, I was afraid of long wait times because she has a hard time sitting in one spot for a long period of time. We got right in, the office noise didn’t bother my girl at all, they were so patient and kind and did so many things to redirect her in order to take a look at her teeth and clean them. The hygienist’s daughter is also autistic and I felt so seen speaking with her and knowing that someone who knows exactly what our life is like and loves someone at home like my daughter reassured me immensely that my girl would be well taken care of and be treated with kindness and understanding. We had such an amazing experience here, we picked our daughter up from ABA therapy and told another mom who had just had a horrible experience with her autistic son at another dentist about kids first and then also gave the information to the BCBA’s and management staff at the ABA center we go to, and told them about how wonderful our experience was here so that other autism moms could bring their babies here without the anxiety I had and know that they won’t be creating a traumatizing experience for their kiddo that sees the world differently. ❤️ I’m so so glad we chose kids first pediatric dentistry!“
