Acupuncture is legit and Dr. Tan is a master. I had 2 bulging discs L3-L4 and L5-S1. MRI said I had the back of a 60yr old (I'm 37). Was on pain meds for over 8 months. Tried physical therapy, McKenzie method exercises, chiropractic, changed sleeping positions. Nothing worked. Only treatments left were spinal injections or back surgery. No thanks! I chose to give Dr Tan a try against all doctors recommendations. Superficial needles they said. I beg you, if you are in pain, give Dr. Tan a try before resorting to injections or surgery. The body has the ability to heal itself with the help of acupuncture and healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Tan is the best acupuncturist I have ever worked with. Using TCM and acupuncture, she helped me to naturally conceive a much-longed-for baby in 2009. Without my saying a word about it, she was able to accurately perceive or diagnose the bodily effects of many great sorrows I have passed through in my life. Somehow, in addition to healing my infertility, she also helped me to emotionally release and truly heal from some very deep grief through the combination of acupuncture and moxibustion. I wish we could have kept seeing her, but we moved across the country. As I recall, Dr. Tan was a bonafide, straight-off-the-boat practitioner who received her training in China. If you can be as patient with English being her second language as she is patient with your first language not being Chinese, I think you will be able to find true help and healing with her.
