Always stopping here with my step daughter Becky I live in Delphos Ohio and the people are so nice and just very helpful if you have a question you can find most everything your looking for if they don't have it they mostly likely can get it for you I was there Saturday 5-25-24 and I plan to come back in a couple weeks to pick up couple more items while visiting in Eaton Rapids please stop in you won't be sorry.
Be sure you wear your outdoor shoes to Cottage Gardens since there are muddy water puddles everywhere. Perennials range from $13 to $60+. There are trees and shrubs and other complicated plants that I will never understand or want but certainly looked nice. A staff member greeted us after we parked and showed us how to read the labels on some of the plants then left us alone to shop. I got a handful of leafy annual plants to cover up the pitiful tree stubs left over by some lazy contractors. I know nothing about plants but everything had labels so I could quickly assess if the plants would survive my zero maintenance plan. This century old nursery is perhaps the best in town. I didn't have any luck to get a dwarf Japanese Maple in Lansing and the surrounding area, but this store has nearly 20 of them in stock and their size is about 4'x4', and the price is reasonable! The staffs are friendly and they answered all my questions over phone. I will definitely buy shrubs, trees, and plants from Cottage Garden in the future. You wouldn't be disappointed by its stock.
