I have been a volunteer at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary since I adopted my first dog there in 2007! So far, I have, over the years, adopted 2 more. The dogs there have a home for life if not adopted. There is a fully staffed veterinary clinic on-site to keep all the dogs healthy. Mackenzie's care about the dogs and the dedicated staff and volunteers do as well.

Several years ago I volunteered at Mackenzie’s with my grandma and sister. It was a great place to be and they were very beginner-friendly. It is evident that Mackenzie’s staff and volunteers truly care about the dogs’ health, happiness and safety. In late 2016 my family finally decided to adopt our dog Brooklyn! She was a very skittish, anxious puppy (due to prior abuse, at no fault of MAS) but she has come such a long way and is living her best life now! She is now almost 8 years old and it has been such a joy living life with her! We have been out of contact with Mackenzie’s ever since simply due to our busy lives, but I highly recommend adopting through them!... read full review

Lovely place for doggos as they wait for their forever home. We adopted our sweet Ellie here back in 2008 and my daughter and I also volunteered here for a few years. Love this place and their care for the dogs is exemplary.
