“I have a mini golden doodle that had a bad experience at a previous groomer. I got her medication prescribed to prep for the next groom due to what the previous groomer recommended. I reached out to Kim and she got us in within a week. Kim wanted to try without meds and she was able to form a quick bond and get the groom complete with my dog. She looks absolutely perfect. In addition to amazing grooming services, Kim took about 45 min to help me with strategies for grooming at home. She also offered another FREE grooming lesson for me a week later. My dog obeys Kim like I’ve never seen before and I am in awe of her work with my dog. Thank you Kim!!!“

“We have been taking our dog to Brooknelle for over three years now. A while back the management changed and Brian and Brittany have made a huge difference. They have cleaned the place up, renovated the buildings, added to outdoor areas and modernized the whole operation. However, the familiarity with the pets and their owners have not changed at all. All the employees are great with the animals and my dog is always excited when we get there.
One big thing worth mentioning is the onsite training. They offered a class there where my dog and I worked on basic obedience. The bigger opportunity was Brian taking on the task of training my dog on the Halo collar. After months of me failing to make the training stick, Brian had my dog working with the Halo collar in a few weeks.
I can't say enough about all the people there. I don't have any reservations about dropping my dog off at Brooknelle. They take care of him, trim his nails and bathe him when needed. It's just great to have that area of life completely settled.“

my fur baby pepe had a bad experience with petco in the past, and since then has been very scared to get his front paw nails cut. but stinky pete’s grooming took on the challenge & made him feel sooo comfortable! (and smell sooo good!!)

if we ever move to grand rapids stinky pete’s will be our go-to!!!!

“We took our dog Coco for grooming on 5/9/26. We’ve been to 5 other groomers in 3 years. Our dog has extreme anxiety and aggression issues so grooming visits have always been very stressful for Coco as well as my husband and me….until now!
Maggie, along with Josh and Jackie, provided a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for us and reassured us that Coco was going to be just fine.
Maggie was great at handling him and his cut was one of the best he’s ever had!
He’s normally very stressed after grooming appointments, but he was calm, happy and easy going after his visit!
We will definitely be going to VIP from now on!!
